Of course, the paddle isn’t just a fan. It’s a tool for staying active, which matters more than ever in this hormonal limbo known as midlife. Exercise is one of the best (and most affordable) therapies for menopausal symptoms. Regular physical activity helps with:
Mood regulation: Goodbye, mood swings. Hello, endorphins.
Bone density: Estrogen may dip, but your risk of osteoporosis doesn’t have to rise.
Sleep quality: More movement often means deeper, more restful sleep.
Hot flash management: Ironically, exercising regularly can reduce the frequency and intensity of hot flashes. (Just maybe not during the workout.)
Pickleball is the perfect fit: low-impact, high-fun, and full of friendly competition (and friendly fanning). Plus, you don’t have to be Serena Williams to get into it. Just show up, paddle in hand, and a willingness to sweat — intentionally this time.
Menopause Isn’t the End. It’s the Intermission Before Your Second Act.
Yes, you might break a sweat tying your shoes. Yes, you may cry during dog food commercials. But moving your body — on the court, around the neighborhood, or even in your living room with a paddle as your personal AC unit --- can make a huge difference.
